Our
# 1 priority is a fair transaction, with an immensely satisfied
customer who not only wishes to return to us, but will bring their
family and friends. We have never been big on policies. There
always seems to be extenuating circumstances to policies which
just make them a waste of time. Our policy is to be fair, honest,
friendly and fun to do business with.
O.K. we do have some policies for our Free
Delivery.
FREE DELIVERY POLICY
John Paras Furniture offers free delivery up to 100 miles from
the purchase location on qualifying items over $250. Deliveries
are only available to homes with access via paved and unobstructed
roads. Delivery may also be arranged to homes in excess of 100
miles at the price of $1 per mile from the purchase location.
Please note that traffic conditions, equipment failure, and other
unforeseen events are beyond our control and we are not to be
held responsible.
FREE
DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
Please
understand that each delivery truck carries up to twelve deliveries
per route. We do our very best to get each delivery accomplished
as quickly and efficiently as possible. To make this possible
we require that you:
1. Measure Please, make any necessary measurements to ensure that
items being delivered will fit through door and hallways.
2. Remove Obstacles The removal and re-installation of doors,
pictures and any other obstacles are your responsibility.
3. Clear Pathway A clean and clear walkway is essential for the
safety of your delivery team. Please remove ice, snow, dirt or
any other debris prior to the arrival of your delivery. We are
unable to wait while pathways are cleared.
4. Be There Please, do not leave your home when expecting a delivery.
When arranging for your delivery you were given a “time
block” for arrival time. Once the truck on your route has
been loaded, your delivery team will notify you of an estimated
arrival time. Your delivery team will notify you of any adjustments
to that time as there route progresses.
DELIVERY
OPTIONS
If
you are unable to accommodate our “Free Delivery Requirements”,
we also offer extended delivery options.
1. Specific Time Delivery $45 Every effort will be made to arrive
within 30 minutes of your designated time. Providing a specific
time requires that we hold a truck and a delivery team for your
delivery.
2. Haul Away Old Items Large items such as appliances, large bedroom
pieces, sofas, dinette sets etc. $20 each piece. Medium size items
such as love seats, headboards, recliners, etc. $15 each piece.
Small items such as chairs, ottomans, night stands, etc. $10 each
piece. Removal and disposal of this merchandise is costly and
we must pass on some of the costs.
3. Door Removal $20
4. Moving Old Furniture $60 per hour $15 minimum Time spent moving
your furniture stalls the remaining deliveries on your route.
All moving of old furniture must be arranged in advance so that
we are able to plant delivery times accordingly.
5. Returned Merchandise $45 because:
a. Measurements were not taken to ensure that merchandise would
fit through door and/or hallways, etc.
b. Small, imperfections that can easily be repaired or touched
up. Note: There is no such thing as a perfect piece of furniture.
If you look close enough or long enough then you will find an
imperfection.
c. Customer was not home to accept delivery.
d. Any return at customer request.
While
your delivery team will take great care moving furniture through
your home, there is a chance that they will make small scratches
or dents to your walls and/or doors. Unless there is complete
negligence on our part, we cannot accept the burden of repair.
MATTRESSES
It
is important to John Paras Furniture that you are sleeping well
on your new mattress. It takes time to adjust to a new sleeping
surface. If after 30 nights from the date of purchase you are
not comfortable, John Paras Furniture offers a one-time only courtesy
exchange. Mattresses must be in original and sanitary condition.
If the re-selected mattress is of greater value, the customer
is responsible for any increase in the retail price. A pick up
charge of $45 will apply on mattress exchanges.
RETURN
POLICY
If
you are not completely satisfied with your purchase within 24
HOURS, you may exchange the item or return it for a full refund.
In order to receive full credit for your return, the merchandise
must be in like-new condition. Appliances, electronics, and ready-to-assembly
merchandise that has been opened cannot be returned. If you return
your merchandise using your own vehicle, no charge will be assessed.
